The RHA in partnership with the Alliance, is excited to solicit a team of consultants to conduct a Housing Needs Assessment for La Plata County to help inform project decisions (housing types, size, quantity, target demographics, price point, and location relative to jobs).
Specifically, the RHA in partnership with the Alliance, is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify gaps between our current housing market and local workforce housing needs to inform an update to our existing three-year workforce housing strategy to assist with a strategic plan for our local multi-jurisdictional housing authority.
The RHA and Alliance seek to confirm which product types are currently needed, and how many are projected to be needed in 5 years based on our current inventory and trending local demographics.
The RFP is seeking a team of consultants to provide the RHA and Alliance with a better understanding of workforce housing needs in 2024 and to adjust other initiatives to support potential housing developments and programs intended to serve the needs of La Plata County Workforce. This needs assessment will also guide our local jurisdictions to create new initiatives for a broader income range and to take advantage of Proposition 123 state funds.
